We are ready folks, it is time to start construction on the first hiking/biking trail for summer use up at the Salmo Ski Hill. And we need your help!Офисы: Аренда снижается, продажи растут

We will be running volunteer build nights every Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 6pm to dusk starting this week JULY 29. The objective right now is to clear the small trees, blow down, under growth and debris from the planned route so that the machine can come in and start working.

The most useful tools will be garden loppers and clippers, hand saws and rakes. Bring gloves, water and eye protection (sun glasses). We will have some spare tools on hand as well.

We will need a bit of chainsaw work done so if you are certified for limbing and bucking or falling and are willing to donate your time and saw please contact salmovalleytrails@gmail.com in advance.

Membership is required to participate and are available online or on site. Memberships are $15 for adults and $5 for school aged youth. Kids are welcome to come out if accompanied by an adult.

Finally a big thank you to all the groups that have helped make this happen or donated for the project: the Salmo Ski Club, Columbia Basin Trust, Central Kootenay Regional District, Sutco Contracting, Porcupine Wood Products and Skyway Hardware.
